Ottoman Gem (Suisse) GmbH is the world’s sole supplier of Zultanite. Responsible for all mining, processing and marketing of this phenomenal gemstone, our mission is to introduce and enamor jewelry connoisseurs around the globe to Zultanite’s unique beauty and rarity.

Ottoman Gem (Suisse) GmbH has decades of experience in the gemstone and jewelry industries. Zultanite is represented and marketed by the industry’s leading marketing professionals. Sales support materials, custom-tailored to individual needs, may include: in-store sales training and education, sales incentive programs, in-case displays, branded romance cards, interactive consumer & trade website, promotional footage, co-op advertising opportunities, public relations support and access to broadcast footage of on-air guests.

Only in commercial production since 2006, Zultanite is mined directly from its host rock at the world’s only known Zultanite deposit, high in Turkey’s Anatolian Mountains. Located at a height of over 4,000 feet, the mine requires the extraction of tons of ore just to reach these amazing crystals. With the nearest village of Selimiye in the Milas county of Muğla located more than seven miles away, there is no electricity or running water onsite, making mining at this remote location extremely challenging. Through increased mechanization Zultanite production will double in 2010, which will provide a consistent supply of quality gems in the quantities required by a wide range of jewelry retailers.

Ottoman Gem (Suisse) GmbH believes that mining should never be at the expense of communities, workers or the environment. All mining should be sustainable; protect water sources from chemicals, debris, rubbish, silt and biological pollutants; minimize the destruction of flora and fauna; and restore mined land as close as possible to its original condition. Furthermore, we strongly oppose unfair labor practices and believe all employers should provide safe working environments. Ethically mined with environmentally safe techniques, Zultanite has a positive impact on the lives of its miners and the surrounding community. All Zultanite miners are housed and fed by Ottoman Gem (Suisse) GmbH onsite and wherever possible, we purchase supplies from the surrounding community and employ local people.
